Diving Dominica. Fantastic walls and active underwater volcanoes

Best time to dive Dominica
February to April, since it is the least rainy time of the year.
July to November brings the most rain and thunder storms, also the risk of being affected by tropical storms or hurricanes. August to October is the highest risk for Hurricanes and tropical storms.

Dominica offers fantastic wall dives, active underwater volcanoes and of course over 20 species of whales that frequent the waters of Dominica.
Dominica dive sites;
Champagne
Accessible from the beach, this site got it's name because of the volcanic bubbles rising from the bottom. Squid, lobster, Crabs, Green Turtles, Seahorses, Scorpion fish etc call this reef their home. Suited for all levels of divers and snorkelers.
Craters Edge;
This 30 to 132 ft dive takes you into a volcano cone. The crater wall is covered with Barrel & Bowl Sponges.
Tuna, Snapper, Barracuda, & Jacks hunt the schools of smaller fish.
Danglebens Pinnacles;
At only 27 ft depth these 5 pinnacles are an amazing formation. Barracudas, Tunas, Wrasses & Snapper swim around impressive Coral formations. Shrimp & Seahorses can be spotted, camouflaged in the Anemones to escape the predators.
Pointe Guignard;
At 50 ft depth on this gradually sloping reef is a cave. Huge Barrel Sponges, Seahorses, Frog fish & Turtles are at home at this reef.
There is a nice swim through at the end of the dive on the way back to the boat.
The Abyss;
This steep underwater cliff drops to over 1650 ft,.
The wall is covered with Sponges, Anemones, Corals and Gorgonians, you can spot Seahorses, Shrimp, Crab and Nudibranches between them.
Diving with Parrot fish, Turtles, Stingrays,Scorpion fish and Stingrays is also part of this spectacular wall dive.
