Island divided in a Dutch and French part in the Northeast Caribbean It covers 34 square miles and has a population of about 80,000. Philipsburg is the Capital for the Dutch part. Marigot is the Capital for the French part. Best time of the year to travel Saint Martin; December to April is the best time, in May the temperatures and rain increase. August to October the rains are abundant and this time is also the highest risk to be affected by tropical storms and hurricanes.
