Barbados will reduce quarantine time for vaccinated visitors (starting May 8th)

Effective May 8, vaccinated travelers entering Barbados will benefit from a reduced quarantine time after they arrive, if they can provide a vaccination certificate from AstraZeneca, Moderna, Pfizer or Johnson & Johnson vaccines. This change is a result of the global ongoing vaccination process, and Barbados becomes the first Caribbean country to tweak its entry protocols for vaccinated travelers. However, even vaccinated visitors still must provide proof of a negative PCR test result taken three days prior to travel, take a second PCR test upon arrival and use designated transportation to their approved accommodation. Quarantine time for vaccinated travelers has been reduced to one or two days, during which they are free to move around in accordance with the guidelines of the approved property. Barbados is open for international visitors, but you need to stay on property for 5 days, and take a PCR test, if the test result is negative you can move freely around the island. GOOD news for divers; if you stay at the Sandals properties you can start diving immediately, since they leave and arrive at the property with their own boats.  Check  https://www.visitbarbados.org/  for all requirements and protocols for international travelers.   Barbados is the most Easterly island of the Windward Islands. It has a population of 287,000 people and covers 167 square miles. Bridgetown is the capital. When to dive Barbados The best time to visit Barbados is from February to April, since they are the months with the least chance of rain. December and January are a bit wetter, In May it starts to get warmer and more chance of rain. June to November is hurricane season, with the highest chance of being affected from August to October. Barbados gets usually affected by Tropical depressions instead of full blown Hurricanes.
