Saint Martin diving (6 beautiful dive sites)
Island divided in a Dutch and French part in the Northeast Caribbean
It covers 34 square miles and has a population of about 80,000.
Philipsburg is the Capital for the Dutch part.
Marigot is the Capital for the French part.
Best time of the year to travel Saint Martin;
December to April is the best time, in May the temperatures and rain increase.
August to October the rains are abundant and this time is also the highest risk to be affected by tropical storms and hurricanes.

Saint Martin dive sites:
Proselyte wreck;
Beautiful dive with a maximum depth of 60 ft, this wooden British Frigate was built in 1770 in Rotterdam and went down in 1801, 13 Canons and 3 Anchors can be seen. What is left from the ship itself is encrusted in beautiful corals.Crayfish, Barracudas, Trigger fish and Stingrays can be observed.
Big Mamma's;
At 60 ft there is a reef with lots of ridges & ledges. Very high chance to spot Reef Sharks,
Maximum depth is beyond recreational diving limits at 165 ft.
You can expect 30 to 100 ft viz.
The Bridge;
Maximum depth is 50 ft, the old Simpson Bay Bridge is overgrown with Sponges and Corals.
3 sunken sailboats surround the remains of the bridge, and together they are now the home for Eels, Barracudas, and big schools of smaller fish.
Long Bay Reef;
This 60 ft deep reef has beautiful Barrel Sponges, King Crabs, Lobster and Hard & Soft Corals. Lots of smaller fish and the chance to see Turtles.
This site is very popular for night diving.
Divi Little Bay;
Turtles, Spotted Eagle rays and Stingrays are seen here.
Fish Bowl:
Depth at the Fish Bowl ranges from 40 to 60 ft, it is nearby to Big Mamma's, and also here you can observe reef sharks,.
A huge variety of reef fish are awaiting you in crystal clear waters. There is a large arch that you can swim through, while watching the barracudas that hang out there.
