Saint Vincent and the Grenadines diving (ideal for Macro-Photography)

Best time to dive Saint Vincent:

January can be rainy, the best time to visit is from February to April
St vincent is less likely to get affected by hurricanes and tropical storms because it is located on the southernmost part of the hurricane belt. August to October are the highest risk months for hurricanes.

Saint Vincent dive sites


Critter Corner;























This 32 ft muck dive offers Long Snout Seahorses, Cardinal Fish, Flying Gunards, Pistol Shrimp,  Yellowface Pike Blenny, Frog Fish, Yellow Tube Sponges, Angler fish, an ideal place for photographers.


Bat Cave;






















A shallow passageway cuts through this reef and leads into a chamber full of bats, the cave starts in only 3 ft of water
Many Copper Sweepers obstruct the view to the reef.



Coral Castle Reef;























This reef starts at only 20 yards from the shore, it drops at a steep angle to about 125 ft.

Beautiful Coral formations, Gorgonians, Sponges and smaller tropical fish species are abundant on Coral Castle Reef.



Turtle Bay;

































Large pieces of volcanic rock that tumbled from the cliff form the base for this site that is encrusted with large fields of Yellow Tube Sponges.

Frog fish, Damsels, Red Lipped Bat Fish, Wrasse, and Seahorses can be observed here.
 


Stratmann wreck;

































The old Tug boat sits upright in 60 ft of water, it sunk in 2003.
French Angelfish, Lobster, small Spotted Eels, can be seen on this Coral encrusted Tug Boat.
Barracudas swim the outer perimeter of this wreck.


Orca Point;















This 20 to 120 ft dive site is ideal for night dives, and macro photography.
Fingerprint flamingo tongues, crabs, frog fish, seahorses and shrimp are to be enjoed at Orca point.
Start at the deep end and work your way up to the shallow boulders that have abundant fish.


Coral Castle















This drop off, with a depth of 125 ft is only about 20 yards away from the shore.
Gorgonians, corals and sponges are the home to many small tropical fish species.
